Our new three Operating Theatre Sharps Transfer Trays have been designed to overcome the current difficulties in the operating theatre and provide a consistent, safer and ergonomically comfortable way of holding, transferring and managing sharps.
This is especially relevant in the most dangerous phase of an operation i.e. when the suturing is being carried out, the instruments are contaminated, when nurses and surgeons are tired, stressed and looking forward to the end of an operation.
The trays are
- Designed to safely hold a range of commonly used instruments
- With a common and intuitive holding form
- With an external curtain to protect the holding hand and fingers
- To promote consistent and safe lifting and handling of trays
- To safely transfer sharps in theatre.
- And easy for nurses to be trained and comply to safe hold and transfer sharps which would naturally result in fewer injuries.
The trays are sufficiently long to hold
- Scalpel blade up to 4L
- Syringes up to 60ml
- FastFix instruments
- Skin wash forceps & suture needle forceps up to 20 cm long.
- All trays are available in bulk ready for your procedure pack maker to include them in the packs
